I am a writer, photographer, and mother of two children, aged 15 and 12. I split my time between America and Europe, and I currently live in Rome. When I'm in Europe, I feel American. When I'm in America, I feel European. This blog is about the highs and lows of raising a family in two cultures and two languages (and sometimes three, depending on our posting), all while trying to maintain my sanity in transit. Laughter, food, family, friendships, long walks, reading, photography, music, wine, and any city with palm trees inspire me to write about life as I see it, from the heart.
